Eclipse Two
With a telephoto lens pointed straight up at the sky, I witnesses and photographed the solar eclipse that took place on the 20th March 2015. The majority of the eclipse from Newlyn, Cornwall was covered in cloud, so there was no need for the protective glasses, instead it could be watched quite safely with the naked eye.
Whilst capturing the eclipse, I decided it would make for a more interesting photograph if the sun was off centre. Taking it back to the post production stage, I was surprised there was such an array of colours within the clouds. I added saturation to bring these colours out, and creating a beautiful picture ready to order full of drama and mystery.
