UNDER TOWER BRIDGE
Tower Bridge is one of the most famous and one of the most photographed landmarks across London. So whilst I was there on an overcast afternoon, I took the opportunity to try and find a unique perspective of this world famous bridge.
I was interested in the architectural engineering and how I could best display that in a photograph, whilst experimenting with different angles, I could not help but notice how the light hitting the surface of the Thames River was bouncing back up to the underside of the bridge, illuminating the steel framework that held the bridges weight. This gave a nice balance to the image, showing light above and below, with the dark, powerful bridge striking across the centre of the image. This contrast of light and dark showcases each aspect of how the bridge is put together, and the Under The Tower Bridge photography print is a must-have for all British enthusiasts.
